San Antonio

Bike Tours:

San Antonio used to have just one bike tour, and it’s a bit different. San Antonio Bike Tours offers their tours on 3-wheeled recumbent bikes.  They received a great write up in Texas Highways last summer.  The trikes are ideally suited to sight-seeing at a relaxed pace with frequent stops.  They appear to take excellent advantage of San Antonio’s investment in the Museum and Mission Reaches.  They have wonderful reviews on Tripadvisor and rate #2 in San Antonio tours as of April 2017.

Bike World  appears to have re-branded their tours as Cycling San Antonio, which features a few different tours, including a “Night Tour” and an unusually long seven hour tour visiting all of the missions.  They’ve picked up some Tripadvisor review since our last survey of San Antonio.

Urban Routes:

You can build your own tour of San Antonio, for example combining B-Cycle and various routes on the San Antonio biking network. Check out what some visitors have done on Yelp.

And here are two DIY tours, a Bike to Beers tour and BTBT’s own On a Mission tour.
